Journal Entry - February 10th
Tonight was supposed to be about stargazing with Kabir and Jane, under the canvas of the universe as it painted its brightest strokes across the sky. Yet, fate had other plans for me. As I stood on the balcony, phone pressed to my ear, denying my best friendโs demand to join them for tonight, his excited voice faded into the background the moment I laid eyes on her.
The moment Jane asked me to see the brightest star above my head but little did she know, I found one in front of my building, the brightest ones, those eyes of hersโฆ
There she was, standing in front of my building, a vision amidst the concrete jungle. The girl wore exhaustion like a cloak, her hair in a messy bun and a loose hoodie draped over her frame, but her eyes... her eyes were like beacons in the night, outshining even the stars above.
At that moment, time seemed to stand still. Her smile, though tired, held a warmth that enveloped me, and I couldn't tear my gaze away. It was as if her very presence brought a sense of tranquillity I hadn't known in years.
I couldn't help but compare her to you, Elsa. I thought I would always get captivated by your eyes. But tonight, this stranger surpassed even my beloved fictional character.ย
